Here are some of my favorite photos from the recent wedding of two very, very awesome ladies, Emelie and Chanti.  They were wed in the lush gardens at Des Jardins in San Juan Bautista.  The wedding decor featured Chanti’s favorite flower, the dahlia, which also populated the gardens in an array of beautiful colors.  Emelie and Chanti did all of the wedding decor themselves and it was so enchanting and had such a personal touch.  They had most of the guests crying and laughing both throughout the wedding ceremony with their heartfelt vows.  The kids and adults alike had fun swatting the wedding chick pinatas.  Chanti’s father performed a few songs and got all the guests groovin.  Smiles and laughs were abundant throughout the day as all the guests were truly happy for Emelie and Chanti as they begin their life together as a married couple.

Emelie and Chanti, may you carry the love you felt for each other on this very special day for the many years to come.   Happiness to you both always!

Jesse and Nadja’s wedding was filled with so many colorful and personal touches.  It was truly lovely.  So special.  Nadja wore Jesse’s great grandmother’s dress that was given a modern touch.  All the guys wore hand made bow ties that featured fun patterns.  Their ceremony was filled with traditions from many cultures as well as a “chemical reaction” demonstration by the bride and groom

After the ceremony everyone relaxed and the kids played games on the lawn of the North Columbia School House Cultural Center awaiting a yummy pizza dinner served up by the bride and groom and wedding party!  Even the wedding cake was super colorful with it’s rainbow layers!

Congratulations Nadja and Jesse.  Your love for each other is so truly evident and inspiring!

Cathy and Bob got married recently on a beautiful (albeit hot) day in June in the lovely little town of Sierraville. I love their story.  They have known each other since their high school days in southern california.  Although they never dated in high school, there has been some speculation that Bob has harboured a crush on his beautiful bride since those days

After running into each another at a high school reunion a few years back, they fell in love and have been carrying on a long distance romance.  Not so anymore!  They are now both happily settled in Truckee.

The little church in Sierraville was packed full, as their wedding drew long time friends and family from far and wide.  After the ceremony everyone headed about 20 minutes out of town to a big ol’ barn to dance and eat and have a merry time.  All around, it was a fabulous day!  Congratulations Cathy and Bob!

Nadja and Jesse are soon to be married.  They both have such playful spirits and so much affection for each other.  These two things stand out for me in these engagement portraits.  Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love.  Boy and girl live happily ever after

.  Awesome story!

So looking forward to your wedding Nadja and Jesse!
