  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi there and welcome to my blog! Thanks for stopping by! Here you will find recent photos of my fabulous clients, and probably some of my kids too. Ok, well I try to keep the kids to a minimum, but sometimes I can't resist.
I love photographing people, whether it is an important event like a wedding, or just everyday family life. I like to think of my camera as a little magic box with which I can capture memories so you can hold onto them for always.
Hope you will stay awhile, relax, and enjoy!

Monica and Eric Engagement Shoot | Capital & K Street, Sacramento

I met Monica and Eric in front of the Capital building in downtown Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving.  Not only did we all brave the Thanksgiving traffic to get to downtown Sacramento, but it was also bitter cold.  But Monica and Eric were great sports and we had fun taking photos.  It was fun to walk around K-street and look for interesting back drops.  It was a nice change for me to get some more urban shots.  I am very much looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Vizcaya in two weeks!  I have to say I had a hard time choosing which of the engagement images to post here, I loved so many of them, but here are a few.

Family Portraits at the Beach | Pajaro Dunes, CA

This past weekend I went home to visit family in Watsonville and while I was there I was able to do a couple of photo shoots.  On Saturday, I met my cousin Tom and his lovely family at Pajaro Dunes to take some beach shots.  My family came along too, so it was a bit chaotic at times, but we had fun and our kids got to play a bit in the sand.  Little miss Amelia also had fun tasting the sand!  Here are some of my favorite shots of the morning.

Portraits in Old Sacramento | Turner Family

Last Thursday I met Nicole and her husband Charles, their baby Charlie and their extended family in Old Sacramento to do some family portraits.  We had a great time walking around Old Sacramento, enjoying the ambiance, and liveliness of the town.  The Turner family was so kind, I felt like I had known them for a very long time.  Old Sacramento is such a fun place to take pictures, I was certainly not the only photographer there that afternoon!  Here are some of my favorite portraits for the day…

Family Portraits at Bridgeport State Park

I thought we were going to have to reschedule our planned family portrait session for Mario, Yomara, and little Adriel.  It was raining when I got up on Saturday morning.  But we decided to take a chance, and we got lucky.  There was a dry window between 10 and 12 and the light was great with overcast skies.  But boy did it rain the rest of the weekend!  It was great to be out while we could.  Bridgeport is really a lovely place to take portraits.  Here are some of my favorites.

Sandoval Family Portraits | Nevada City, CA

It is the time of year for family portraits!  Recently the Sandoval family came to my home studio and we were able to indoor and outdoor portraits.  The fall colors are abundant in Nevada City and we took advantage of them!  The kids had a blast tossing the fall leaves in the air.  Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning.  Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.
