I met Jon and Teresa at the Auburn Valley Country in mid-May to scope out the site of their wedding, the Auburn Valley Country Club and find the best picture opportunities for the big day. We had a great time driving around the golf course in the golf carts and taking some pictures along the way. We also made our way to old town Auburn to get a change of scenery. I am looking forward to photographing the lovely couple again at the end of June!
I was so very excited to have the opportunity to take newborn portraits of two week old Gabriel. He seemed very curious and was pretty wide awake. With a little coaxing we did get him to sleep for a bit and I was able to capture some very sweet sleeping baby pictures. I had been admiring the sleeping baby photography work of Tracey Raver and Kelley Ryden, which is quite beautiful. Definitely harder to do than it looks.
I was also able to use some special hand knit props and newborn sacks provided by Francine Price of Lulu B Custom Designs. So fun!
Sharalee needed some professional headshots for her real estate job. I was excited she was able to come to my home studio so we could do both indoor studio headshots and then more casual outside portraits. Here are some of my favorites.
My neighbor and friend, Kim, and her daugher Krystelle recently had a new addition to their family… the oh so adorable Lucy. Of course I couldn’ resist taking pictures of Lucy as well as her new family!
In April we took a family vacation to San Diego to visit one of my best friends, Nicki, and her family. We spent a week seeing the sites with Nicki and her daughter Emma. One of the days, while we were enjoying the warm weather at the beach in Carlsbad (I think it was probably snowing in Nevada City), I was able to take a few quick portraits of Nicki and her beautiful daughter.
