  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi there and welcome to my blog! Thanks for stopping by! Here you will find recent photos of my fabulous clients, and probably some of my kids too. Ok, well I try to keep the kids to a minimum, but sometimes I can't resist.
I love photographing people, whether it is an important event like a wedding, or just everyday family life. I like to think of my camera as a little magic box with which I can capture memories so you can hold onto them for always.
Hope you will stay awhile, relax, and enjoy!

Family Portraits | 2012

It is my busy time of year.  Family portrait season.  I love it.  A week or two after the family photo session I meet with the client and show them the portraits.  While I think this is so helpful for clients (so they have told me) it does slow down my blogging.  So here are some favorite portraits that I didn’t share last fall.  :)

Isaac + Gillian Wedding | Nevada City

So excited to finally share some more photos from Isaac and Gillian’s beautiful wedding.  They were married earlier this month at the Roth Estate just outside Nevada City.  The wedding featured shades of purple, yellow, and pink… Gillian’s mom arranged the flowers, which were so lovely.  Isaac’s mom officiated the wedding.  Gillian looked amazing in her strapless wedding gown.  Amazing!  Isaac is never without a baseball cap, but he stepped it up for the wedding with a new fedora hat.:)

Gillian and Isaac, you are so clearly meant  to be together.  Isaac I hope your humorous, playful nature will keep Gillian’s beautiful smile and laughter ever present!  Joy and happiness to you always!

Gillian + Isaac Engagement | Nevada City

Here are some of my favorite engagement portraits of Gillian and Isaac that were taken about a week before their wedding.  Yes, a bit close to the big day, but we still had portraits to display!   I am getting close to sharing the wedding photos here on the blog, but didn’t want to miss the chance to also post these great pictures all taken in Nevada City.  Isaac kept Gillian and I laughing throughout the session…  so much fun!  Love these pics and this couple!  Their wedding was a blast… stay tuned for those!

Chanti and Emelie Wedding | San Juan Bautista

Here are some of my favorite photos from the recent wedding of two very, very awesome ladies, Emelie and Chanti.  They were wed in the lush gardens at Des Jardins in San Juan Bautista.  The wedding decor featured Chanti’s favorite flower, the dahlia, which also populated the gardens in an array of beautiful colors.  Emelie and Chanti did all of the wedding decor themselves and it was so enchanting and had such a personal touch.  They had most of the guests crying and laughing both throughout the wedding ceremony with their heartfelt vows.  The kids and adults alike had fun swatting the wedding chick pinatas.  Chanti’s father performed a few songs and got all the guests groovin.  Smiles and laughs were abundant throughout the day as all the guests were truly happy for Emelie and Chanti as they begin their life together as a married couple.  :)

Emelie and Chanti, may you carry the love you felt for each other on this very special day for the many years to come.   Happiness to you both always!

Jesse + Nadja Wedding | Nevada City, CA

Jesse and Nadja’s wedding was filled with so many colorful and personal touches.  It was truly lovely.  So special.  Nadja wore Jesse’s great grandmother’s dress that was given a modern touch.  All the guys wore hand made bow ties that featured fun patterns.  Their ceremony was filled with traditions from many cultures as well as a “chemical reaction” demonstration by the bride and groom  :) After the ceremony everyone relaxed and the kids played games on the lawn of the North Columbia School House Cultural Center awaiting a yummy pizza dinner served up by the bride and groom and wedding party!  Even the wedding cake was super colorful with it’s rainbow layers!

Congratulations Nadja and Jesse.  Your love for each other is so truly evident and inspiring!
